my poor baby

I have never seen a 2 year old's face as beat up as Evan's until today. It brought tears to my eyes when I first saw him. I was SO sad that I wasn't there to hold him after the incident happened. Apparently, at daycare, another child was walking around with a big toy and he fell down while Evan was getting his diaper changed on the floor. The toy smacked him right in the face. The inside of Evan's ear is even bruised. It breaks my heart to look at him like this. :(

3 in 1

On Saturday, we had some friends over for a boat ride, a potluck dinner, and little belated birthday party for Reese. What a great day!

preschool

We signed Evan up for Monday night preschool, from 6:30-8 pm. Monday, 9-15-08, was his first night. He experienced playdough, art projects, toys, gym time, songs, new books, and several kids his age. It was great!

Ben's 30th Birthday

Ben turned 30 on September 3rd. My mom and dad made a wicked crock pot cake and we had some family over to celebrate. We hosted a party at our house this weekend for him and his coworkers who turned 40 and 50. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures from the big bash.

Ben has been busy all summer building our deck. He's finally done with the deck and is currently working on the retaining wall now. Evan likes to "help." I just hope he's as handy as his dad when he grows up!

So my son skins his knee at my parent's house, and my dad runs inside to find a solution (while my mom gets a bandaid)......some old elbow pads for Evan's knees. Yes, we went to the park with the knee pads on. Only my dad would come up with something like that!

Ludo's puppy shower

Yes, we had a puppy shower for Ludo! He got lots of goodies that will entertain him for a while. Sadly, this is one of the only pictures I took with Ludo, Mary, and Lance! He really is much cuter than that!
